Southwest Airlines announced that they will be adding new nonstop routes and expanding the frequency on some others. Most of the service expansions are in California where they are adding 20 new nonstop routes and increasing frequency to 27 existing routes as well as opening new international gateways.

New Service to Cancun, Mexico
Beginning on April 14, 2018, Southwest intends to start nonstop service on a seasonal basis every Saturday between Cancun and Columbus, Ohio, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Seasonal returning routes
Southwest also announced that effective Sunday, April 8, 2018, they will operate daily service between Houston and Portland, Ore., and weekend service between Denver and Charleston, S.C. Additionally, weekly service on Saturdays between Albuquerque and Orlando, and between Kansas City and Pensacola, Fla., will operate beginning April 14, 2018.
Southwest Airlines continues to expand with new routes and adding new airplanes to their fleet. They remain very competitive by offering interesting nonstop routes, great fares, excellent customer service and avoiding the charges for miscellaneous items such as checked baggage.
